Jan van Cauwelaert, C.I.C.M. (born 12 April 1914) is a Belgian Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. At the age of 97, he is one of oldest bishop in the Church and the oldest Belgian born bishop and the last living one having been ordained a bishop by Cardinal Jozef-Ernest van Roey.
Jan van Cauwelaert was born in Antwerp, Belgium in April 1914. Jan van Cauwelaert was ordained a priest on 6 August 1939 with the Roman Catholic religious order Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On 6 January 1954 he was appointed both Apostolic vicariate of the Inongo Diocese in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Titular Bishop of Metropolis in Asia. Jan van Cauwelaert was ordained a bishop on 25 March 1954, he would resign as Titular bishop of Metropolis in Asia in 1959. He was appointed bishop of Inongo Diocese on 10 November 1959 he would resign from that position on 12 June 1967 and be appointed Titular bishop of Uccula from which he would resign from on 12 October 1976.
